1990-1991 Landscape Architect with Johnson Turner Associates in Richmond, California. Primary responsibilities included design and graphic assistance on various design projects and planning documents.
1988-1990 Landscape Architect with the City and County of San Francisco, San Francisco, California. Primary responsibilities included the preparation of architectural and landscape architectural designs and construction documents for the Kezar Stadium redesign. Responsibilities also included taking the proposed designs through the public and design review process. Other projects with the City included site designs, planting and irrigation, and construction drawings for children's playground at Buena Vista Park and Lake Merced. Mrs.Jones also was responsible for preparing an erosion control and restoration for Buena Vista
Park.

Responsible for the preliminary design, final working documents, and presentation of several commercial, industrial, residential, and recreational projects for private developers. Representative projects included the design of the streetscape for North Main Street in Walnut Creek, the linear park design under transmission lines in Cordelia, entry and street tree plantings
in residential subdivisions, office parks and parking lots, and the Lafayette Community Center. Other duties included staff supervision, project scheduling and budgeting.
